Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska on the second day of his working visit of Herzegovina, visited company " Andjelic " in Trebinje .The Minister and the owner of the company, Radovan Andjelic, toured facilities for drying and packaging of medicinal and aromatic plants. During the visit to the company, the Minister stressed that it is the capacity that inspires confidence in the oriental development and that as such is worthy of attention and it will be an important factor for increasing plantation of immortelle and organized collection of what nature has given us.
On that occasion, the Minister stressed that the 650 hectares of land in the area of Trebinje, in the following weeks, will be put into operation so every hectare would be cultivated or under concession or lease.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska for some time has been actively working on establishing a true picture of the situation of the land on the entire territory of the Republic, first of all the picture about land state properties, and we made a lot of good moves when it comes to inventory, determining the land by its intended use and making it functional for production, stated the Minister.
The minister added that he would find the mode of financing the construction of irrigation systems, not only in Trebinje but for the whole Republic. The Government of the Republic of Srpska implemented World Bank project to build irrigation systems in various areas, which represents a step forward in terms of development in the Republic of Srpska when it comes to irrigation.
The Minister noted that he talked with winemakers about the new law on wine and that all winemakers are satisfied and pointed out that everyone will be able to participate in the drafting of secondary legislations which should affirm producers in viticulture, and the quality that will be recognized in the world market .
After the visif of “Ljekobilje” Minister Mirjanic also visited a cow farm which is owned by Ilija Stankovic, Monastery Tvrdos and company “Popovo polje”.
