The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, visited Jungić Winery in Čelinac, one of the 34 companies in the Republic of Srpska that received EU funding.
Klokić noted that Jungić Winery had received funding through the EU4Business project and invested it in strengthening production capacities. He emphasized that economic entities could always count on support from the Ministry.
'A total of 34 applicants from the Republic of Srpska received BAM 7.6 million. These are grants, and total value of implemented projects is just over BAM 12 million,' Klokić told reporters in Čelinac.
Speaking about the support to the Winery, Klokić stated that the Ministry would remain at their disposal, both in future EU-funded projects and in wine promotion at foreign market.
'Wineries from the Republic of Srpska export their products to more than 20 countries in Europe and globally, and in that way they promote the Republic of Srpska. We are at the disposal of all of them through our representative offices,' Klokić noted.
The director of Jungić Winery, Marijana Jungić, pointed out that final preparations were underway before this year's vintage.
'Today, we presented to the minister the production capacities and investments realized in the previous period. We put special focus on EU-funded projects,' said Jungić.
She reiterated that in the past year the winery had successfully implemented the EU4Business project, through which the EU had approved grant funds for investments in processing capacities and marketing of agri-food products.
'Today, we showed the minister the equipment procured through the project, because the Ministry of European Integration was one of the original links in our learning about this project,' Jungić explained.
Jungić pointed out that their wines should soon be also on the Russian market.
'Already next week, Jungić Winery will have the opportunity to present our wines and brandies in Russia as part of the Republic of Srpska delegation, and I hope that the cooperation will be achieved and that we will be able to place a portion of our products on the Russian market,' Jungić added.
