Dr. Jasmin Komić, the Minister of science and technology of the Republic of Srpska, received the delegation of the Austrian Economic Chamber on 21st January, 2015. The guests and the Minister discussed the matters concerning the cooperation between institutions and companies from the Republic of Srpska and Austria, particularly focusing on the cooperation in the fields of economic development, high education, knowledge and new technologies transfer.
The delegation of the Austrian Economic Chamber was consisted of Dr. Michael Landertshammer, the Chief of the Educational Policy Department at the Austrian Economic Chamber, Svjetlana Stojšić, the Regional Manager at the Austrian Economic Chamber, and Mladen Filipović, the Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in the Republic of Austria. Among other things, the main topics of the meeting were issues regarding small and medium-sized enterprises' development, the support companies in the Republic of Srpska need in order to achieve the long term quality management development, as well as B2B Austrian Forum.
The Austrian WIFI International Institute provides vocational training courses to fulfil all the professional demands, and, with the support of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska, it offers specific training courses in the fields of export, export financing, and international marketing in the Republic of Srpska. The training courses are meant for entrepreneurs, i.e. owners of the companies, managers and all those people who take part in decision making in company structures.
The first training courses for the entrepreneurs from the Republic of Srpska are supposed to take place in spring, with entrepreneurs' subsequent visit to Austria.
The meeting was also about actualizing the cooperation between the enterprises from the Republic of Srpska and the enterprises from Austria, so that the products from the Republic of Srpska can be launched in Austrian market.
