The Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska and the Innovation Center Banja Luka have completed an ICT sector analysis in the Republic of Srpska. The main goal of the analysis is to provide insight into the current state in this sector in Srpska, as well as to show the basic trends of this part of the economy in the last six years (2014–2019). More precisely, this analysis provides an insight into the coverage, scope, demography and structural characteristics, development trends and dynamics of development of the entire ICT sector, as well as its parts.

The ultimate goal of the analysis is for it to be one of the guidelines for the Government of the Republic of Srpska in providing support to this sector, in order to have a stronger impact on economic development.                          

This analysis can also be used to encourage export and foreign investments, guide young people into the ICT sector, create a development strategy for the ICT sector, further analysis of the potential and limits of the ICT sector, more detailed analysis of certain parts of the ICT sector and individual companies in this industry.
