Implementation of the ResInfra @ DR program; Partners from Slovakia in visit



Within the ResInfra @ DR program, in which the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska is participating, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka on October 24. - 25. 2018. the first pilot visit of partners from Slovakia took place. The delegation from Slovakia, lead by the Professor of Technical University of Kosice Juhar Jozef and the representatives of the Slovak Center for Science and Technological Information Ana Krivjanska and Natasa Dojcakova, met with the host representatives from the Republic of Srpska prof. Dr. Gordana Gardašević (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka), Assistant Minister of Science Siniša Marčić, Branka Savić (Ministry of Science and Technology), doc. Dr Dino Kosić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UNIBL), Vladimir Risojević (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UNIBL) and Vanja Todorovic (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UNIBL) were present.

 - The project is related to the development of the research infrastructure, with the aim of how examples of good practice could be applied in research institutes and faculties in the Republic of Srpska. Specifically, in this case, we are talking about the technology park at the Technical Faculty of the University of Kosice (Slovakia) and we would like to apply that model into our environment, "said Prof. Dr. Gordana Gardasevic.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Gordana Gardasevic added that prior to the meeting, the preparation of reports on the situation regarding the scientific infrastructure in the Republic of Srpska was finalized, specifically at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, based on which colleagues from Slovakia will give their recommendations and the possible future steps.

From the beginning of 2017, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska participates in a project entitled ResInfra @ DR (Facilitating macro-regional scope and link to socio-economic actors of Research Infrastructure in the Danube Region) within the Danube Cross-Border Program (Danube Transnational Program ) funded by the European Union. The project duration is January 2017 - June 2019, and its total value is 2,154,989.36.
