​The Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Srpska, Đorđe Popović, participated a meeting organized by the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and the EU Special Representative, the Ambassador Johann Sattler, in Sarajevo today.

The topic of this meeting that was attended by the competent officials of BiH, the Republic of Srpska and the FBiH, as well as the representatives of the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, was the construction of the Corridor Vc and the ways to speed up the implementation of this project.

Mr. Đorđe Popović, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Srpska, pointed out that the EU annually allocates significant funds for the development projects, and he expressed his intention to continue with the cooperation in the future projects, too.

The Corridor Vc is the most ambitious investment program in BiH, which requires significant financial and human resources, and the European Union has so far secured more than 200 million euros in grants through the Western Balkans Investment Framework for construction of 11 sub-sections of motorway on the Corridor Vc in BiH, complementing the loans from the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
