Construction of the second section of „5C” highway started today

In the settlement of Rudanka near Doboj, the beginning of works on the second section of the highway on the Corridor "Pet ce" on the territory of the Republic of Srpska was made official today.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Viskovic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Srpska Nedeljko Coric, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija, the Minister of Communications and Transport in the Council of Ministers Vojin Mitrovic are attending the officialization of the works.

Representatives of the EU Delegation to BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are also present, as well as the director of "Autoputeva" Dusan Topic and the mayor of Doboj Boris Jerinic.

The second section of the highway on the Petce corridor in the direction from Kostajnica to Putnikovo brdo / border with the Federation of BiH /, known as the "Doboj bypass", is six kilometers long, and the deadline for completion of works is three years.

This is a very demanding section, where the construction of two tunnels about two kilometers long is planned - Putnikovo brdo one and Putnikovo brdo two, construction of a bridge over the river Bosna about 330 meters long, and a viaduct about 290 meters long.

The construction of nine retaining walls with a total length of 2,200 meters is also planned.

The contractor is the company "Integral inženjering" Laktaši, and the works are supervised by "IRD inženjering" from Rome.

The project is financed by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of 150,000,000 euros, and co-financed by a grant from the European Commission through the Investment Fund for the Western Balkans in the amount of 38,768,800 euros.
