Prime Minister Designate Radovan Višković received today delegation of the Association of Municipalities
and Cities of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka led by the President of the Association
Ljubiša Ćosić within holding consultations with regard to formation of the new Government.
During the meeting, Mr. Višković informed representatives of the Alliance about the program concepts of the future
government of Republic of Srpska emphasizing that the priority was pursuing balanced development of the Republic of Srpska and its local communities.
Representatives of the Association pointed out
that it was
necessary to work further on opening of new and expanding existing business zones in the future as well as on strengthening the concept of free zones while also working actively to improve the business environment in their local communities.
Another subject of discussion was realted to changes and
amendments to certain legal solutions which would improve functioning and fairer
redistribution of certain revenues and different organization of certain
services in local administrative bodies in order to have more successful
functioning of municipalities and cities.
They emphasized that the Government's support to
municipalities and cities was the greatest and most visible and measurable in the
period from 2018 to 2022.
Representatives of the Alliance expressed special thanks for the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Srpska in 2020 which, as they emphasized, was extremely helpful considering
that the liquidity of their budgets was threatened due to consequences of
the pandemic of coronavirus.
